Just finished reading a
parenting essay that someone sent me, and
wow, I miss so many opportunities to really teach my kids to live the right way for the right reasons! Too often I focus on what
I have to do, want to do, etc... The author is so right that we need to be ready to lay aside our desires to focus on training a child correctly.
I guess then the question becomes, "how do I do this?" It seems like the to do list is never ending to start with, and yet I commit to more. Be it for other people, or my own personal goals. Add to that the fact that I am super task-oriented and
love to cross off items on my to do list and we have a problem people.
This is going to be a tough battle to fight and will require a lot of prayer, but they are worth it!
